NHS Carnation Sale

Give A Dollar Get A Flower

NHS Carnation Sale

Hannah Roy, Anchor

This year, just like every other year, NHS (National Honor Society) is selling carnations for Valentines Day. If you’re looking to send your hunny or even your friends a little surprise for Valentines Day try giving them a flower or flowers to them at school. Everyday from now until February thirteenth NHS members will be selling the flowers in the lunchrooms. To buy a flower all you have to do is go up to the table in the front of the lunchroom and give them a dollar to get a slip of paper. On the slip of paper you have to state who you are sending a carnation to and where they are first block to receive the flower. You can write your name or you can write anonymous if you want to leave you’re special someone wondering. The flowers will be handed out on Valentines Day during first block. Giving someone a carnation is a great way to show someone that you love and appreciate them and when the person looks at the flower they’re reminded of you for the rest of the day. Of course buying the flowers benefits you but it benefits NHS as well. For every flower you buy you are helping NHS members fundraise for future events. Every year National Honor Society sells these carnations along with candy canes around Christmas time to raise money for things such as the senior citizens prom. The senior citizens prom is something so sweet and precious, so if you’d like to help contribute to this then please buy a carnation today!
