Bulldog Stampede Preview

Quinn Stoltman, Reporter

Every year in the fall, our school hosts a cross-country race called the Bulldog Stampede. This annual race is quickly approaching. Try to come out to Alden High School on Saturday, October 12th to watch this cross-country race. The girls’ varsity cross country team will be running at 1pm and the boys’ varsity cross country team will be running around 1:30pm. In addition to this, the annual Apple Run for the younger, bulldog runners of the future, will also be happening on Saturday morning. The racecourse for the Varsity team can be a very difficult course for people to run. However, our runners will be ready. According to several runners on the Alden cross country team, one of the hardest parts of running this course are the hills. Despite the difficulty, they have also said that they have been preparing to run this race for the past few weeks by training on the hills. There will be several schools competing against each other that include West Seneca East, Williamsville East, Starpoint, Frontier, Pioneer, Iroquois, Williamsville South, Franklinville, and more. This race is sure to be exciting and highly competitive, so, please come out to cheer and support our Alden runners.
