Suffering from Senioritis

Zoe Guilliams, Reporter

Over this past winter break, seniors got the lovely taste of freedom they have been craving. On New Years, seniors everywhere screamed for the year to be 2020; graduation year! This is a really hard time for us seniors since we have to deal with going back to school for another half of a year. We are all wishing it was June already and we are itching to walk across that stage.

Seniors this time of year get annoyed and start to show signs of not caring and become more obnoxious. This is called Senioritis! Most seniors start to suffer this time of year however, it can start as early as September or even junior year.

There are many signs that a senior has senioritis; such as not showing up to class on time, distracting others in the class, snoozing off more often than not. Of course, their work ethic starts to decline and they start to realize that homework is overrated. Seniors who got into college aren’t working as hard anymore and those who are still working towards college are way overstressed to be concerned with highschool.

Senioritis isn’t a bad thing yet it does make it hard for the seniors to focus. Watch out underclassmen, this will be you in the next couple years!
