Each year, superhero movies get bigger and bolder. So, it’s no surprise that ‘The Cinema Society’ premiere of Captain America: Civil War brought out a slew of Hollywood’s finest. Civil War officially premieres today May 6, 2016. The Avengers assembled at Brookfield Place’s Henry R. Luce Auditorium for the debut of the latest installment of Marvel’s mega-franchise, but Marvel’s assortment of heroes weren’t the only ones on the scene. Stars Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen, Chadwick Boseman, and Paul Rudd made the rounds, but you never know who will come out of a major movie. Acting icon Harvey Keitel rubbed shoulders with internet sensation Cameron Dallas, while Trevor Noah and model Josephine Skriver skipped.

What makes the series such a crowd-pleaser? According to directors Joe and Anthony Russo, it’s all about the universality of those well-loved characters: “We’ve always used character as our way to find our way through storytelling. Captain America has served as a guide through Winter Solider and this film, but now we’re working with a lot of new heroes and perspectives, most important, Iron Man.” With the lines drawn in the sand between Team Iron Man and Team Cap, the film is a surefire hit no matter whom you’re rooting for.
