Welcome back everyone! There are so many changes that you will notice, as well as some that you may not. From construction work, to technology updates, and even new and updated courses, WACS News has the scoop on everything you need to know for the new school year!

RENOVATIONS 2014 CONTINUES

Since the end of last year, Turner construction has been working hard on the ‘Renovations 2014’ construction project. The roofs at the High School and Middle School were the major tasks that were completed this summer. You will also notice dated ceilings in High School classrooms have been replaced with drop ceilings in the downstairs front hallway. Full story HERE.

INNOVATION LAB UPDATES

In its newest phase of development, the Innovation Lab at the High School has received another facelift! New flooring was installed in the Innovation Lab in the area that was previously room 145, the computer lab. The carpet was removed and the tile now matches the majority of the space. In addition to the flooring, a conference room area was created to facilitate student groups, outside presenters, etc. This is all part of Alden High School’s mission to promote innovation in the classroom. We are very excited for this new adventure that is sure to combine the best in online, social, and broadcast media.
