Carly Hocpia, Anchor

Two of Alden’s very own seniors, Jordan Lorenc and Kristen Meyer recently participated in the RFK Center’s annual Speak Truth to Power video contest. Their topic was a non-profit company called Untapped Shores. The Untapped Shores organization is run by Elizabeth and Patrick Shores. Jordan and Kristen both got recommendation letters from Elizabeth Shores for their great work to support the organization. Jordan Lorenc went to the last school board meeting to present her project and video form Mr. Currin’s class. The entire board and audience were quite impressed with Jordan and Kristen’s work. Speak Truth to Power is a human rights program works to get justice and equality for all citizens in throughout the entire world. For the video contest students are to create a 3-5 minute video, for a human rights issue video all around the world. Elizabeth and Patrick Shores were very impressed with the work from Kristen and Jordan. The board members really enjoyed the video and the work they put in to make this happen. Congratulations to Jordan Lorenc and Kristen Meyer on the great work they put in to get the attention for Untapped Shores.
