The Bulldogs found themselves in a positive situation taking second place in class B1 and having a bye the first round of playoffs. The second round of playoffs took place on Friday May, 19 the day of Prom. The game was moved from 5 o’clock to 2 o’clock to accommodate with Prom. The boys not only defeated Dunkirk by the score of 6-0 the boys defeated the distractions and still made it on time for prom.

The game started with a 1-2-3 inning for the Bulldogs defensively and a 2 out single from Justin Daucher with Tim Pellitieri finding himself in a pickle and unable to get himself out. The game would stay a stalemate until the 3rd inning. Bobby Meyer led off with a single followed by a double from Joshua Chester and Bryan Cybulski hit an RBI single. Joshua Chester would score after a wild pitch to put the Bulldogs up 2-0. Justin Daucher, after watching a wild pitch go by would hit an RBI single to score Cybulski in from Third. The Bulldogs would not take their foot off the gas with a 1 run 4th inning and a 2 run 5th inning. Nathan Reger walked onto the mound in the top of the 7th to close the deal against Dunkirk. The Boys are now 12-4 with 2 loses coming from Maryvale and StarPoint both large schools.

Tom Bednarski would pitch 6 innings with only allowing 1 hit in the top of the six inning. Other stats included Lucas Jurek, Joshua Chester, Bryan Cybulski, and Justin Daucher with 2 hits each. Joshua Chester added 2 Runs with Lucas hitting in 2 RBIs.

The Bulldogs play Monday, May 22nd against CSAT (2-12) home at 5 o’clock with Nathan Reger on the “Bump”.
