On December 2nd 2017,  Spanish Teacher and Youth to Youth Advisor Señora Hazen delivered clothes to Catholic Charities of Buffalo. Señora Hazen sponsored a fundraiser at Alden High School to raise awareness for the hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico. Some hurricane victims relocated to Buffalo for shelter. Señora knew how important it was to provide them clothes for the Winter. Most of the Puerto Ricans relocated only with the clothes they carried on their backs.

Understanding the severity of the situation seen on the news in recent months, it was clear how much assistance was needed. Señora Hazen thought that such a great cause and the season of giving made a perfect pair to support them.  Youth to Youth Club was certainly not disappointed by the overwhelming amount of donated items! The Catholic Charities Buffalo will donate the jackets, mittens, sweaters, and more to the victims of the Puerto Rican disaster.
