This past week Alden Middle School performed Aladdin Jr. for the community. The students performed the show Thursday March 1st, Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th. The originally scheduled Friday performance was switched to Sunday due to the closure due to weather. I went to the Middle School to speak with Director Mrs. Tryka for more information.

She stated that she was super proud of the cast and crew and how much work was put into the production form their parents and the other directors. With all of that hard work they sold out all four shows even with the reschedule on Sunday. On Sunday they had a minor set back with their sound technician getting sick and not being able to run the show gladly the lighting technician stepped up and filled both positions up in the booth for the show.

Since the show was originally set to close on Saturday,  the cast party went on as planned through midnight. All of the cast and crew had a great time on the dance floor and other activities including a photo booth also they all got a scrapbook that they personalized during the cast party.

Mrs. Tryka would also like to thank the community, Board of Education and the teachers, faculty and staff for supporting them in this production.
