WACS News Present Unwrapping Challenge

Carolyn Freeman, Associate Producer

Happy Holidays from WACS News! With Christmas just
around the corner, I asked a few Alden High School students to participate in
the Present Unwrapping Challenge as suggested by WACS News Producer Zach
Bennett. This game succeeded in instilling Christmas spirit among the
participants.
The game commences when a player begins to roll the dice. Once they roll doubles, they put on oven mitts or, in the teacher's cases, stockings, and attempt to tear open a present. Meanwhile, the dice are passed to the next person until someone else rolls doubles. At that time, the player who is rapidly unwrapping the prize must stop, take off the oven mitts, and allow the new doubles-roller to continue the challenge while the rest of the players take turns rolling the dice. A round concludes when someone manages to unwrap a present.
In addition to the students, I invited Mrs. Williams and Mr. Edward to the TV studio and asked them to play the same game with different prizes. I will admit that Christmas attire and toilet paper may not seem all that thrilling to
unwrap, but at least the participants had fun in the process! From all us here at WACS News, we hope you had a happy holiday and a great start to the new year!
