Boys’ Varsity Soccer Team in Midst of Tremendous Season

The Alden boys varsity soccer team is off to a hot start this year. I interviewed coach Allen Turton and received his thoughts on the boys’ season. He stated that he was in fact not surprised by the boys’ performance so far. The boys have been working out during the off season and gaining a competitive edge for this season. Turton also explained how he was a part of Alden’s start in the beginning and was here to witness and play for the ’93 team that won a championship. I also talked with players Walker Wrest and Nate Turnbull, who said they have been working on cycling the ball back to their defense in practice to change upfield.

“Our biggest challenge this year is going to be ourselves getting in our own heads,” he said.
