Defend Our Blue: Hawaiian Night
Defend Our Blue is back and better than ever! We got the inside scoop from the student section as the Alden Bulldogs took on the Akron Tigers Friday, Oct. 7th.
Throughout this cold night, we were able to talk to the dedicated fans to hear their thoughts on the game and test their football knowledge. We were able to distinguish the real football fans from the ones who were just there for the Hawaiian theme. No matter why they came, everyone was loud and proud cheering on the boys … even if they didn’t know who the players were on the field.
The game was close, but the Bulldogs pulled out a huge win against Akron with a score of 26-20. Nic DePaolis and Layne Jaworowicz had the crucial touchdowns of the game to secure the win. The student section went wild when the Bulldogs caught the game-winning interception with only six seconds left on the clock. It was a great night to be a Bulldog!
The Bulldogs now move on with a 3-4 record after trouncing Springville-Griffith Griffons on Thursday, Oct. 13. We hope this winning streak carries on for the boys! Go Bulldogs!
