Skating into LIDA Girls Hockey

Alden High School students have a new athletic opportunity this winter. They teamed up with other students at Lancaster, Iroquois, and Depew to form the LIDA girls hockey team.

LIDA coach and Lancaster teacher Kevin Miller praised the girls’ for their participation in this new multi-district initiative.

“They bring so much to the team in regards to effort, sportsmanship, and energy,” Kevin Miller.

“I feel like it’s a great experience for girls who are in the high school and are coming up to the high school,” said freshman, Claire Whiteford. “Especially because seventh and eighth graders have the opportunity to be on the team.”

The girls next game is on Monday, Feb. 23 @4:00 at St. Mary’s High School.
