This Thanksgiving at Alden High School, we are feeling especially grateful for our teachers.

WACS reporter Olivia Hyna went in the halls to get our students’ opinions on the teachers they are truly grateful for.

A heartwarming mini-speech was given to one of our special teachers by Josette Selbert.

“I’m most thankful for Mrs. Kornacki and to be her teaching assistant,” Josette said. She expressed how grateful she was for this teacher to be in her life. Mrs. Kornacki gave a genuine smile and hugged Josette right then and there.

We got so many loving reactions from our amazing Alden High School teachers. For example, Mrs. Tanner’s shock was visible when we told her four students claimed to be most grateful for her.

“What?! Stop,” Mrs. Tanner said. “I love them and am grateful slash thankful for them too!” Her joy was out of this world and she felt truly appreciated.

Olivia Hyna’s mission was to bring more light into our teachers’ days and let them know how much of an effect they have on our lives.
