Athlete of the Week 12/14 -12/19
January 8, 2016
The nomination for Athlete of the Week for boy’s basketball is senior forward Jordan Stockweather. In his third season at the varsity level, Jordan has taken another large step forward in his production on the floor. He is currently leading the team in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, and blocks, with an average of 20 points per game and better than 9 rebounds per game. Early on this season he has put up a season high of 34 points against Kenmore East which earned him a spot on the all tournament team in the Greg D. Martin Tip-off tournament hosted by Iroquois. Jordan’s ability to play a complete game and handle multiple responsibilities has got his team off to a 3-3 start including a 2-1 record in ECIC IV.
Makenzie King, captain of the Girls’ Varsity Bowling Team, bowled her career high game of a 181 on December
14th in a match against Tonawanda.
This is her 2nd year on the team and she continues to improve with each passing week. Her average has improved 25 points from last year. She is a terrific role model for this young team being the only veteran.
