Delaney Froebel recently joined the ranks of athletes in the class of 2016 who have been offered athletic scholarships. She will be joining the class of 2020 at Mercyhurst University to play soccer at the collegiate level along with furthering her education.

Delaney has been on the varsity soccer team for 4 years and served 2 years as Team Captain. She was on the ECIC All-Star team all four years and a finalist in the State Cup. She has been playing since the age of 5 and plays for the Blackwatch Premier Soccer Club since she was a 8th grader. Throughout her career, she has had 13 tournament shutouts, along with maintaining honor roll all four years of high school.

I am so proud to see that her hard work, dedication, and drive for excellence has rewarded her with an opportunity that many only dream of, playing soccer collegiately. I know without a doubt she will continue to do well at Mercyhurst.” said Coach Nguyen.
