Winter Sports takes on the Mannequin Challenge

Conrad Boucher and Josh Chester

This year, our Winter sports teams are taking on the new trending challenge, the Mannequin Challenge. The Mannequin Challenge is when a group of people get together and take a video of everyone pretending to stand still just like a mannequin. The videos usually consist of people posing in many different positions or doing many different activities, but they are “frozen” making it look like a video of mannequins. Our WACS News Sports Team took this challenge to our Alden High School Winter sports teams. The teams posed with their teammates doing activities and positions that portray the sport that they participate in.

The teams that participated were:  Girls Varisty Basketball, Boys Varsity Basketball, Varsity Rifle, and Boys Varsity Swimming. The Girls Basketball Team filmed in the gym on the basketball court, the Varsity Rifle Team filmed at the middle school down in the rifle range, the Boys Swimming Team filmed in the high school pool, and the Boys Varsity Basketball team filmed in the high school locker room. Our Winter sports teams really got into mannequin character these past weeks and came up with some creative ideas for the video. All the teams were very cooperative and made the process of making the Mannequin Challenge video very fun, smooth, and easy. We hope that Alden’s take on the Mannequin Challenge exceeds your expectations. Enjoy this video, please show your friends, and even consider getting in on the the Mannequin Challenge fun with your friends. It will be hard to compete, but try to top Alden’s version of the Mannequin Challenge.
