Teacher Appreciation Night: Boys Basketball
February 16, 2017
Thursday February 2, 2015 The Boys Varsity Basketball team recognized some teachers at their basketball game against Eden. Mrs. Terech, Ms. Siuta, Mr. Cayea, Mrs. Vriesen and Mrs. Stotz were all recognized at the game. The players picked a teacher that has made an impact on them throughout their years of education, and somebody that they wanted to show their appreciation for. Conrad Boucher picked Mrs. Terech who is an English teacher at Alden High School. Mrs. Terech taught Public Speaking which was a class Conrad really enjoyed. Mrs. Terech taught Conrad many life lessons and helped Conrad not only become a better speaker, but a better man today. Ms. Siuta is a business teacher in the high school who teaches a variety of different courses. Gabe Kozak selected Ms. Siuta because of the lessons she has taught Gabe that will last forever. Nathan Lund picked a social studies teacher here at Alden High School, Mr Cayea. Nathan chose Mr. Cayea because Nathan can connect with Mr. Cayea on more topics than just his education. Mrs. Stotz is a math teacher at Alden Middle School and was chosen by Joshua Chester because she really helped Josh improve in a subject that will help him with his future major in college. Mrs. Vriesen was chosen by Kyle Roy for many reasons. Kyle says that Mrs. Vriessen is like a mother figure to him. Kyle knows that he can always look to Mrs. Vriesen for advice on anything.
All-in-all it was a great night to recognize some of the teachers here in the Alden district. Every day teachers are doing their best to motivate, inspire, and push students towards their goals in life and that is just what these teachers in particular have done for our seniors on the basketball team and anymore students across the district. Thank you again to Mrs. Terech, Mr. Cayea, Ms. Siuta, Mrs. Vriessen, and Mrs. Stotz for all that you do for our students here in the Alden district, and thank you to all of the teachers here at Alden for your hard work and dedication to our students.
