As the holiday season comes around, so does the annual window decorating competition. Every year, Alden High School students get together and compete  to see who has the most beautifully decorated window. Class officers from each graduation year select a theme for their class to decorate their window. This year’s theme was Christmas songs. Each class was given a group of lyrics from a famous Christmas song and selected the ones that they wanted to decorate their window with. After the grades have all completed their windows, teachers come in to judge them to see what window is decorated the best and most creative. The windows are decorated in the beginning of the week, by the end of the week, usually the last day before break, the winners are announced to the entire school. Many students take this competition very seriously because the winners receive the most money which goes towards Prom and Senior class trips. The annual window decorating competition is fun for all.
