Last week, we announced there would be a vote open to Alden students grades 8-12 as well as all faculty and staff to name the news sports complex. Many classic names such as “The Dawg Pound”  have been suggested countless times. WACS news can not confirm the fields name just yet, but know the dawg pound will not be going to waste, and may appear in the new fan zone. Initial reports suggest that the fan section may be an area that showcases school spirit driven by sponsorships of local businesses on an annual basis. We have been told another common theme through the names are references to Alumni or Alden figure heads. Although we have many suggestions, we do not believe that the field complex will be named after one specific person. Official nominations have not been made public yet, but will appear on April 4th in the annual notice before appearing on the official ballot for the May vote.
