Girls Varsity Swim Has Record-Breaking Season
Do you know who has the girls varsity backstroke record?
In the 2022 girls varsity swimming season Izzy King broke the backstroke record that has been in place for 33 years! I got the chance to meet the woman who held the backstroke record for so long, Paulette Roessler.
Izzy King broke the backstroke record at a swim meet against Tonawanda. This is an amazing achievement for our freshman. She has been on the team for two years and is an amazing swimmer. She hopes to be able to break more records in the future and we are all so proud of her for this feat.
Roessler is very proud of Izzy for breaking her record that has been in place for so long.
“It was a challenge I’m sure for other swimmers,” Roessler said. “Izzy, I’m super proud of her and glad she did it.”
