Teachers’ Most Meaningful Christmas Gifts
The Christmas season is finally here. Waking up at 5 a.m. to open presents, spending time with family during Christmas break, getting all bundled up in blankets with hot chocolate after playing out in the snow are just a few of the many things the Alden High School students are doing this Christmas season.
But when we go back to school after break, the first question we get asked by our teachers is: What was the best present we got for Christmas? So I decided to switch it up and ask the teachers what their most meaningful Christmas present they ever got was.
When I asked Mrs. Damiani this heartfelt question, her answer left me with a huge smile on my face.
“I think the one that brought me to tears was, my son made me a frame and it said our family on it and he put pictures in there. So it was really really sweet.”
And to me, Mrs. Moran’s response reflected what the holiday season is about.
“I have to say the most meaningful Christmas gift I ever received was a little Christmas tree from my daughter when she was four years old,” Mrs. Moran said. “And actually, I still have it to this day and it’s on my counter as my Christmas decoration for school.”
