Alden High School Welcomes Veterans!
November 6, 2015
Alden High School is proud to honor Veterans at our annual Veterans Day Ceremony! The program takes place in the auditorium where we have a chance to hear different stories told by our honored guests. Park Street Voices and the High School Band are also in attendance as they sing and play the Star Spangled Banner and other patriotic songs.
The Veterans are allowed to travel with their student to their first and second block classes, and after the assembly, they are asked to attend a brief reception in the foyer. I think it is great that we recognize the great people who served our nation. They put there heart and soul into protecting the country we love. It is cool to interact with the veterans because several of them have such great stories to tell no matter what they did back in the day. I am truly grateful for there service and what they have done for our country.

This is a great thing to do for our veterans. They really deserve the gratitude for their bravery. I hope we get to do this more in the coming years.

The assembly was great, it is awesome that our school offers this opportunity for students to hear everything that the veterans have to say. I am glad that I was able to attend the assembly and be able to honor all of the veterans.

My grandfather was honored to be in attendance today. I can’t begin to tell everyone how impressed he was from start to finish. It is something that he is really looking forward to being a part of again next year.
