This week at Alden High School is Custodian Appreciation Week, a time dedicated to recognizing the hard work and dedication of our custodial staff. These individuals work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our school clean, safe, and running smoothly each day. To gain insight into the important role they play, we had the opportunity to speak with one of our high school custodians, Scott Pki.
Scott, a laborer for buildings and grounds, shared a bit about his experience:
“Everything’s different day to day, solving problems, keeping the school clean, and interacting with the staff. Dealing with people really makes the time go by faster.”
Scott’s commitment and positive attitude reflect the essential work custodians do to keep our school in top shape. Whether it’s fixing issues or ensuring classrooms and hallways are spotless, their role is vital to the daily operations of the school.
As Custodian Appreciation Week continues, we encourage everyone to take a moment to thank these unsung heroes. If you see a custodian in the halls, be sure to express your gratitude and let them know how much their work is appreciated. Their dedication truly makes Alden High School a better place for all.
