On October 4th, Alden High School hosted its Athletic Wall of Fame ceremony, celebrating the 2024 inductees who have made significant contributions to the school’s athletic legacy. Family, friends, and coaches gathered to recognize and honor these individuals for their lasting impact.
The first inductee was Brian Stoldt, who was unable to attend the ceremony due to his commitment as a college football coach at Kansas University. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stoldt, accepted the award on his behalf. Brian left a pre-recorded message, sharing his gratitude and reflecting on his time at Alden.
Next was Nick Orlowski, whose award was presented by Coach Carl. In a speech filled with gratitude, Nick spoke about the importance of appreciating athletic talent and giving back. Now a collegiate coach, he emphasized how coaching has deepened his understanding of the gifts athletes possess and the impact they can make on others’ lives.
The third inductee, Phil Zobrest, was introduced by Mr. Partell. Phil delivered a meaningful and humorous speech, reflecting on how much the Hall of Fame meant to him as a student. He emphasized the importance of tradition and encouraged future athletes to care about their legacy, striving to achieve their best.
The final inductee was the 2015 Alden softball team, whose award was presented by Mrs. Gauthier and accepted by Coach Kryszczuk. The team’s incredible achievements during their season earned them a well-deserved place in Alden’s Hall of Fame.
After the ceremony, the inductees were honored with plaques, which now adorn the hallway of Alden High School, cementing their place in the school’s athletic history for future generations to admire.
