A New Face to Alden Middle School
November 19, 2015
Throughout the past couple years, the Alden Central School District has been faced with many changes. One in particular is the new face to Alden Middle School. We decided to sit down with Mr. Steven Smith, the new Principal at Alden Middle School, to discuss his feeling on his first year in Alden.
Although this is not his first Administrative position, he stresses that he is highly satisfied with Alden and the community. He has had previous experience in Oakfield-Alabama as a third grade teacher, a second grade teacher at a Charter School, Assistant Principal at William Street school for fourth through sixth grade, and is now at Alden Middle School.
He loves how everyone is very close and involved in the community. Unlike the large schools Mr. Smith is used to, he says another thing he loves is the small population in Alden. He says its easy to get to know his staff and students and that’s something he couldn’t do at his previous jobs.
We are very happy to welcome Mr. Smith to Alden Middle school and we wish him the best of luck!
