Its out with the old and in with the new at Alden Primary School! The ACS Buildings and Grounds crews have fought a long battle with the old Primary School sign. Sources tell WACS News that an overwhelming amount of repairs were made to the old sign over the course of the last few years. The old backlit sign was in such disrepair that the letters were often falling out of place, the hinges were replaced multiple times, and it was near impossible to keep in a presentable state. The other challenge was always replacing the lights behind the plastic face.

With the constant improvements being made to technology like this, the Alden Central School District believed it would make more sense to adopt a more modern LED sign. While our own Buildings and Grounds crews provided all of the preparation work, an outside group finished the installation of the sleek new sign. The new sign, similar to the one at the High School, is programmable from indoors and offers a variety of options as you can see in the video above. The Alden Schools staff is very excited about the signs new appearance as it is the first thing you see when driving up to the Primary School located on Broadway.
