Students in Alden High School recently submitted a video to the Kids Escaping Drugs Face to Face video contest. The goal of the contest was to make a video that took a stand against drugs and alcohol. The video featured a first person view of what drugs can do to a student and what can be done to prevent drug usage. Students Brooke Strausbaugh and Paige Rpzeka spearheaded the project and they choreographed a dance to their own version of the High School Musical song, ‘We’re All in This Together’. The video came in first place in the contest beating out competitors such as Lancaster and Lockport. Alden’s video will be shown on Channel 2 News (WGRZ)  and we also won a street hockey experience with Buffalo Sabres player Zemgus Girgensons. Up to twenty people can participate in the contest and the public is welcome to spectate.
