March 21, 2017
On March 17, the Tech department hosted its 2nd annual Career Day. Actives included demonstrations, panel discussions with industry partners and alumni, robotics demonstrations, and a tractor. For those who are interested in learning about skilled trades or agriculture after high school or college were able to take advantage of the amazing opportunity. Students from Akron and Tonawanda High School also attend to learn more about STEAM and interactive with Tech department teachers and students. Teachers were willing to take time out of their classes to make sure everyone had the chance to learn about the many opportunities available to students after high school.
Make sure to stop by the Innovation Lab or room 109 to thank Mr. Turton for organizing the events and ask questions about any more STEAM opportunities in the future.
We will be expecting another exciting night at the Middle School with their 3rd annual STEAM Night. Its a great chance for 6th-8th graders to take a look at many different skilled trades, and give them insight as to why they might want to develop their career in the field in their future.
