Alden High School offers many different advanced placement courses for students to take. These courses are meant for students that want to experience college level courses before they actually enter the college world.

One AP course offered in Alden is Studio in Art. This course is for students that have a strong passion for artistic expression. The course allows the students to study in a creative atmosphere and enjoy their own choices of artwork. For the final examination the students have to put together their best work and present it. In this class there is three different sections that students will have to provide a certain amount of artwork for. The sections are the breadth, concentration, and quality sections. The quality section is artwork that is actually sent to judges to be examined and the judges will decide if the course will count for college credit.  If you are interested in pursuing art into your college career, this may be the course for you.
