Abby White, a 16-year-old junior at Alden High School, is a dedicated student, athlete, and leader who juggles a variety of responsibilities with grace. With two siblings she loves spending time with, Abby’s life is filled with family, sports, and school activities. At Alden, she’s not only co-secretary for the yearbook but also a committed three-sport athlete who brings passion and energy to everything she does.
A peek inside Abby’s locker offers a glimpse into her busy life. “In the bottom portion of my locker, I have my biology notebooks and my stats notebooks and my lunchbox,” she explains, “and here I have my backpack and volleyball practice bag.” Her top shelf is stocked with essentials like extra school supplies, index cards for flashcards, and even some Bath and Body Works lotion. The scent of choice? Gingham Gorgeous.
When asked what someone’s first impression of her would be based on her locker, Abby hopes they’d see her as “a nice person and an organized person.” These are qualities she values and strives to embody daily.
Abby’s involvement in sports is a huge part of her high school experience. While volleyball is one of her favorites, she plays three different sports throughout the year, bringing a well-rounded athleticism to each team. As a setter in volleyball, she finds the position especially rewarding. “It’s pretty fun,” she says, clearly enjoying the role she plays on the court.
Abby’s dedication extends beyond the gym and the classroom. Her work with the yearbook as co-secretary shows her commitment to capturing and contributing to the school community’s memories. Whether she’s organizing her locker, setting up a play on the volleyball court, or balancing school projects, Abby White is a well-rounded student making the most of her high school years at Alden.
