Addison Bolles, better known as Addy, is a sophomore at Alden High School who has been making a name for herself both in and out of the classroom. She has a strong athletic background, having been a member of varsity cheer for two years, varsity track for two years, and dancing for an impressive 13 years at Elite Dance Company. Her passion for sports extends beyond her own activities, as she’s a dedicated supporter of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres.
Addy’s love for sports began early, and one of her favorite childhood memories is watching football with her dad. “It’s just a big part of my life now,” she says, adding that it has become a weekend tradition for her. Her enthusiasm for athletics isn’t just limited to being a fan; she’s eager to make it a career. She dreams of attending The Ohio State University to major in a sports-related field. “If I don’t get in, I will cry,” she jokes, while confidently cheering for the Buckeyes’ chance at a national championship.
In addition to her love for sports, Addy is also passionate about art, which is her favorite subject in school. She enjoys expressing her creativity in the classroom and finds it to be a nice balance alongside her athletic pursuits.
Addy’s interest in the sports industry led her to join WACS, where she hopes to gain experience in sports media and explore the possibility of a future in sports management or media. “I wanted to get a feel for the sports industry, see if I could do things with sports and video making,” she shares. While she hasn’t made any final decisions about her career path, she knows she wants to be connected to football or hockey in some capacity. “Having a connection with the players would be an ideal goal,” she says.
Whether she’s cheering on the sidelines, sprinting on the track, or practicing dance routines, Addison Bolles embodies the spirit of a passionate athlete and a dedicated student. With her eyes set on Ohio State and a future in the sports world, she’s ready to chase her dreams and make her mark.
