Lilly Bromstead is a senior at Alden High School who balances a busy schedule as both an athlete and an integral part of the WACS team. As the news editor for WACS and the WACS Daily script writer, Lilly oversees the general assignment reporters, guiding them in content production and keeping the school informed on pressing news. This is her second year with WACS, and she has taken on key leadership roles within the organization, ensuring the smooth flow of daily news.
Outside of her responsibilities in WACS, Lilly is a standout athlete. She plays travel softball, varsity softball, and varsity volleyball. Her commitment to athletics reflects her hardworking and driven nature, and when she’s not on the field or court, Lilly enjoys painting as a creative outlet.
Reflecting on her time in WACS, Lilly’s favorite memories are the moments spent in the back room with her classmates, sharing laughs over YouTube videos during lunch. “Mr. D would come back sometimes, too,” she recalls fondly, appreciating the fun atmosphere they created together.
Looking ahead, Lilly does not plan on pursuing media after high school. Instead, she has set her sights on becoming a psychologist and will be attending Edinboro University, where she also plans to continue her softball career. Her dedication to both academics and sports will undoubtedly lead her to success in the next chapter of her life.
Lilly Bromstead’s leadership, work ethic, and athleticism make her a well-rounded and respected member of the Alden community, and her future endeavors are sure to be just as impressive as her high school career.
