The Alden Bulldogs officially have a new coach, and he’s got a lot of experience.

Coach Anthony Buono, the Bulldogs’ new coach, has already made a huge impact here by being very involved with the players and caring for their mental and physical health.

“He’s been putting together practices already and putting together the opportunity to visit off-season camps,” said Alden defensive end Jose Vasquez. “He also put together an app to communicate about practice and workouts.”

Alex Wypij noted how much Buonos’ efforts are benefitting the team already.

“We already started practicing as a team, on the field and in the weight room and maintaining a family,” Wypij said. “Already having together individual position workouts is very helpful to adopting a craft.”

Coach Buono also was very vocal about having relationships with the players as coaches.

“It’s the reason I got into coaching,” said said, adding that being a leader is all about relationships, maintaining close-knit relations with his players, and pushing them to become the best version of themselves, athletically and academically.

We couldn’t be more excited Coach Buono here at Alden.
