This week, Alden High School proudly recognizes two outstanding athletes who have showcased remarkable talent, leadership, and dedication in their respective sports.
Claire Shadle – Senior, Varsity Girls Volleyball
Senior Claire Shadle has shown tremendous improvement as the season has progressed. She is consistently the loudest and most supportive player during practice. Her performance on the court is also on the rise, with her current stats standing at 24 kills, 23 aces, and 18 blocks. Claire has been making her mark in practice and has recently stepped up in games, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to the team.

Sophia Mikulski – Senior Co-Captain, Varsity Girls Cross Country
Senior Co-Captain Sophia Mikulski, our 2024 Homecoming Queen, has been either our second or our top female Bulldog at all the Cross-Country competitions she has participated in this season thus far. She is now ranked as one of the top female Cross-Country runners among E.C.I.C. Division V this season, racing to her fastest times across all distances this season thus far. Her efforts have helped her Bulldog harrier teammates enjoy a 3-wins and 1-loss E.C.I.C. Girls Division V regular season.
