This week, Alden High School proudly recognizes two exceptional athletes who have shown remarkable talent, commitment, and leadership in their respective sports.
Athlete of the Week: Caleb Feider (Varsity Boys Cross Country)
This week’s Athlete of the Week is junior Co-Captain Caleb Feider, a standout runner who has been essential to the success of the Varsity Boys Cross Country team. Caleb is currently ranked sixth among all NYSPHSAA/Federation Boys Class C runners and fifth across all Section VI classes, helping lead his Bulldog harrier teammates to an undefeated E.C.I.C. Boys Division V season. His dedication has led him to record-breaking performances across every distance he’s raced, culminating in an impressive fourth-place finish at the 68th E.C.I.C. Varsity Boys Cross Country Championships this past Saturday. Caleb’s speed and determination on the course have earned him another well-deserved E.C.I.C. Division V First Team All-Star honor.

Athlete of the Week: Kaylen Jaworowicz (Varsity Girls Volleyball)
Alden High School also celebrates junior Captain Kaylen Jaworowicz for her outstanding achievements with the Varsity Girls Volleyball team. Kaylen has finished the regular season with 58 kills, 31 digs, and 34 aces, consistently seizing every opportunity to make a difference on the court. Known for her supportive and positive leadership, Kaylen uplifts her teammates during both practices and games, embodying the spirit of a true captain. Her dedication and encouragement create a welcoming atmosphere that motivates her teammates to reach new heights. Kaylen’s skill and inspiring presence have made her a valuable asset to her team’s success this season.
