James Santoro, Alden Class of 2007, is turning his story into a message of hope. A former varsity football player, registered nurse, Navy veteran, and karate practitioner, James now volunteers with the Alden Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition to share his journey through addiction and recovery. In this inspiring video, he reflects on the lessons he’s learned and the advice he would give his younger self: “Put effort into yourself—you’re worth it.” James’s story is a powerful reminder that it’s never too late to lead, grow, and help others do the same.
