On Sept. 10, the Alden varsity girls volleyball team hosted East Aurora. The Bulldogs didn’t get the win they wanted, but WACS’ Inside View shows a team that played a tough match and pulled together on the court.
Between highlights, players talked about the mental side of the game. One player admitted she feels nervous when she steps up to serve, and said she gets past it by reminding herself that she has the confidence to do it.
Another said that when stress builds during a match, she takes deep breaths, counts to 10 in her head and takes a minute to regroup before getting back into the game.
