Alden HS Students Travel to Spain
February 25, 2016
Hola from Spain! A group of 24 Alden High School students and 4 teacher chaperones recently had the opportunity to travel abroad! The students are all members of the High School’s Spanish Club advised by Miss. Ziegler. Students spent time during their February break from the 13th through the 20th in another country experiencing all that they’ve heard about in their Foreign Language classrooms. The students successfully made their way through Spain while, of course, taking in all of the sights. Alden High School Junior Everett Gilbert says that “the Spanish trip was a truly amazing experience that (he) will never forget”. While it wasn’t exactly beach weather in Barcelona, it was certainly better than sub-zero Buffalo!

Going to Spain was the trip of a lifetime. There was so many new things that I have experienced ,and that I wish I had time to experience. I am definitely going back in 2026 when La Sagrada Familia is completed.

I think it is cool that our school could organize a trip to Spain. It seems that everyone that went had a good time. Hopefully our school can organize another trip so some other kids can have a good time.

Everyone who went on the Spain trip posted about how much fun it was, and it seemed awesome. It seems so cool that they got the chance to experience these great things. I’m sure it was the trip of a lifetime.

This trip left as much of an impression on the teacher chaperones as on the students. It was an experience I won’t soon forget. Thank you to all of our student travelers for being such amazing world travelers and open to new experiences!
