On Friday, April 8th, from 10 AM to 2 PM, Alden High School hosted the Skilled Trades and Manufacturing Career Day. This career fair followed the successful STEAM Career Day back in November, and the high school’s students and staff continued to demonstrate their leadership in career preparation activities. Students from Warsaw and Akron High Schools were also in attendance, making this Career Fair the biggest the high school has ever hosted.

The tech wing held a number of ambassadors from various companies, colleges, and groups, and in fact the number of participants even spilled into the gym. This list included such recognizable names as General Motors, MOOG, Lancaster Knives, as well as representatives from SUNY ECC and Buffalo State. A number of these organizations also had a demonstration to educate students on their products and potential careers. Additionally, a Career Panel in which several industry partners fielded questions from students occurred in the Innovation Lab, making the event a well-rounded, educational experience for each student that attended. The Alden Knights Robotics Club were also present, demonstrating their robots.
