Senior, Bobby Meyer just prior to kickoff in the season’s opener versus Depew. The Bulldogs won 40-19.

Friday night the Varsity football team drove out to Barker Royhart to face off against the Rams. The first and second quarter the bulldogs had a hard time stopping the Rams tricky offensive setup, between the trick plays and blocking scheme At the end of the first quarter the score was Alden- 7 Royhart- 8, as the half progressed the Rams were able to push in one more score before the half making the score Alden-14 Royhart-16. Although when the second half came about the bulldogs tightened up the screws and put their focus on full throttle and were able to accumulate a teeth rattling 30 points in the second half making the score at the end Alden-44 Royhart-24. The Bulldog defense caught onto the Rams offensive trickery in the second half and were able to put a stop to them while meanwhile the Bulldog offense made key plays in order to get the win over the Rams.

This week for Homecoming the Alden Bulldogs take on the Canisius Crusaders at home. Although the Crusaders will no doubt be a tough adversary for the Bulldogs, there is strong determination throughout the Bulldog Football team to come up on top and not stop swinging until the 48 minutes is over.
