Homecoming Football Game 2016

Hannah Kelley, Sports Producer

The Bulldog’s Homecoming game is coming up on Friday night against the Canisius Crusaders. It is a very big game for the varsity football team. The Bulldogs are walking into this game with a record of 3 wins and 1 lose. I had the opportunity to speak with varsity football coach, Rob Currin, about his feelings on this upcoming game.

He states, “I haven’t been this excited for a Homecoming game since I’ve been here.” Currin has faith in his team. He believes the team can continue their win from last Friday’s game against the Barker/Royhart Rams if the team plays just like any other football game.

Their best chances are on the team playing the four quarters of the game to their best ability.

I also had the opportunity to speak to senior captain, JJ Foster. Foster stated, “I’m not gonna lie I am a bit worried. It’s definitely going to be a fight. However, bring it on, it’s just another football game.”

Junior captain and quarterback, Bryan Cybulski was also open to giving his opinion on the game as well. Cybulski also believes this is going to be a very tough game, however he believes in his team and their abilities. He is a little worried because he believes there will be some complications with blocking the Crusaders linemen. However believes our Alden Bulldogs can pull through.

A few other players were open to adding in their opinion along with the rest. Kyle Roy stated, “If we work very hard in practices before the game, perform well at the game, and keep our heads in the game, I believe we can win!”

Come and support your Alden Bulldogs this Friday night at 7:00pm at home
