On Tuesday I interviewed Mr. Kryszczuk for the upcoming Veteran’s Day Assembly scheduled for November 10.

“We host this assembly each year to remind teachers, students, and staff why we have Veteran’s Day off from school, most importantly what Veteran’s Day is all about. Democracy does not come without sacrifice, the right to vote for all Americans, and Democracy has been preserved by our Veterans since 1776” Said Kryszczuk. This year’s assembly will focus on specifically honoring Alden alumni that have served in the military.

The Social Studies department is expecting about 50 Veterans to be in attendance this year. Keeping information organized on each of the Veterans in attendance is one of the many challenges that accompany this worthwhile endeavor.  This assembly is all about recognizing the sacrifices that have been made by some of our Nation’s finest.

Look for a few surprises this year as the Alden Central School District honors Veterans for at the 5th annual Veterans Day Assembly.
