At the beginning of the year Alden obtained a new athletic director, Mr. Dan Kaplan. Even though he has only been here for one season he has been very involved in our sports program and our physical education program. The students at Alden High School have been extremely welcoming to him. Mr. Kaplan has been very helpful regarding information on sports and sports events. He has been an amazing asset and a great supporter in the Alden community. Mr. Kaplan switched from being involved in Cheektowaga’s program for 17 years, to coming into Alden’s program in the middle of the Spring to get everything ready for the upcoming school year. Even with short notice Mr. Dan Kaplan made added some amazing components into the sports program, such as adding an opportunity for students to attend sports events that they may not have had a ride to. Everyone is super excited to see how the rest of the sports season play out. Thank you so much Mr. Kaplan, you are a great asset to the Alden program.
