Starting in November at the Albright Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo a new exhibit was introduced to the public, Picasso: The Artist and His models. For those that don’t know much Pablo Picasso, here is a short life story.

Pablo Ruiz y Picasso, also known as Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright who spent most of his adult life in France. Picasso is well known for his paintings and his ability to transfer three dimensions into two-dimensional evocations. His models include his friends and lovers. In his teenage years he started experimenting in art, his father was an important influential person in his life. Pablo was born in Malaga, Spain, in October of 1881, he was the first child born in the family. His father was an artist, and was also a professor at the school of fine arts.  Young Picasso studied art with his father for one year, then went to the Academy of Arts for another year, before moving to Paris. In 1901 he settled in Paris, which shaped his dreams and felt like him. He continued to practice new styles, and experiment with a variety of art forms.
