May 16th, 2017 is the Board of Education election. Will you be there?

The candidates for this election are Michael Karpie and Richard Karalus.

Mr. Karalus on the other hand has been in the field of Higher Education for over 25 years! He received his Bachelor’s degree at Rochester Institute of Technology, and his Doctoral degree at the University of Buffalo. He is currently serving as the Director of Research Compliance at UB, where he oversee the University’s research for ethics and compliance while continuing to give lectures and seminars on ethical research. He serves on multiple committees. He has been on the Board of Education since he was appointed in 2016. Karalus is a firm believer in quality education for all students. He also is a strong believer in a strong community service. He is interested in establishing connections with local businesses to offer opportunities for our students. For this interest, he will be introducing courses in agriculture to our rural members, enhancing opportunities for the trades, meanwhile maintaining the high level courses for our high achievers.
