Pembroke Invitational

This past week the Alden Bulldogs top athletes traveled to Pembroke high school for another invitational.  This was a very wet and cold meet that many of the athletes did not want to be in.  The meet began with 110 meter hurdles.  We were not able to place in the hurdle events for boys but for girl we had Ava Eichensir and Madison Stercula both place for the girls.  We then had the boys 4×800 take first in that event and the girls took second in the 4×800.  The 200 meter dash was very close for the boys as Christian Snell took second place and Riley Pastuzynski took third place.  The 100 meter dash was also very close with Sara Augustine taking second place for girls and Christian Snell taking second place for the boys.  The girls also came in second place in the 4×100 meter relay and the boys came in first for the 4×100 meter relay.  The Bulldogs dominated in most of the field events.  In Long jump the girls picked up first and third place as Sara O’Connor picked up first and Cookie Altieri picked up third.  The guys also had the top two spots as Riley picked up first and Jarrett Miner picked up second.  For triple Jump Cookie picked up first place and Madison Stercula picked up third place and the boys Alex Leigh picked up second place.  For pole Vault both the girls and guys picked up the top two spots as Cailyn Bennett picked up second and Sara O’Connor picked up first and for the boys Matt Schuh picked up second and Mike Handley picked up first.

Congratulations to all those athletes and good luck in ECIC’s.
