With winter break approaching fast, we cannot forget to mention this week’s Player Spotlight, Sean Mahany who has proved his skill and fitness in the pool for the boys swim team. Not only was he chosen directly by his coach for Player Spotlight, but Sean also received the athlete of the week award once again for swimming. In the pool, Sean has amassed many wins coming in first in practically all of his races this year helping with the team’s undefeated record up until last night. Regardless of this defeat, Sean still was a double winner sealing both of his races with a nice first place ribbon. During practice Sean shows his leadership skill inside the water and out.  Sean constantly makes an effort to push his fellow swimmers to become better versions of themselves and get more wins as the meets keep stoking along. When I spoke with him he was very confident in his skills as swimmer but even more so he talked about his leadership in the pool. Trying to see what people can do better and work with them to get them going at a good pace for the rest of the year. I also got a chance to speak directly to Coach Nancy Bennett. She looks at Sean as a person of amazing skill as a swimmer and someone who purely belongs in the water. Overall things are going well with Sean and the team down at the pool, so keep up the great work Bulldogs.

Come and support the Bulldogs at their upcoming meets to watch all of your favorite swimmers continue their amazing wining record.
