The Alden High School’s Varsity Basketball team didn’t meet the high expectations that they set for the season. Although the season wasn’t what the team desired, two players did receive league awards. Seniors Alex Leigh and Christian Snell were recognized. Christian Snell was awarded All League First Team and Alex Leigh was given All League Honorable Mention. Both also received Scholar Athlete Honorable Mentions. The awards demonstrate the commitment and hard work from both players. Alex Leigh and Christian Snell have been playing on the varsity basketball team for several seasons. Christian Snell had a great season, reaching the 1,000 career points mark. All players in the league were eligible for the awards. Both awards coming to Alden students shows the level of dedication in Alden High School Athletes. Both seniors moving on to college leaves room for other players to try to fill their spots.
