On the Girls Varsity Soccer Senior Night on September 25, 2018, vs Eden, Alden took the win with the score of 3-2. Alyssa Attardo had two goals and Grace Pastuszynski had one. The game was a nail biter and was won in overtime resulting in our Alden supporters storming onto the field showing their excitement towards the win against Eden. The game was under the lights on the football field, on a very nice night, and was packed with school spirit. Many students around the school in a whole were there supporting their classmates. The game was well supported by all of the spectators showing good leadership in supporting our girls soccer team.  I interviewed Coach Joe Olaf and 2 players, Jaime Bennett and Allison Bennett. Coach Joe Olaf was very happy with the outcome and hopes to keep this momentum for the rest of the season and take it to sectionals. Jaime and Allison touched base on their favorite highlights of the game, and their careers. Both of their favorite highlights of the game was when Alyssa scored the third goal. Some of their favorite highlights of their career was winning this senior night and when everyone charged the field after winning in overtime. The team’s seniors consist of Gianna Baia, Allison Bennett, Jaime Bennett, Gabby Czech, Hallie Lorenc, Mia Loschiavo, and Ashleigh Strasser. The girls record not including non-league games are 8-1. The girls showed outstanding effort and proved they deserved to win against Eden on their senior night.
